What a climbing rope is made of and how it's made

You can probably imagine how climbing shoes, a jacket or a harness are made. But do you know anything about a climbing rope?

What are our ropes made of, how are they braided, why are they stretchy, how are they treated and tested? And what would you say to having it all shown and explained by the best climber in the world – Adam Ondra as a guy in overalls with a huge moustache and a 70s afro.

Tom Randall in Bolatice

It was an honour to welcome Tendon ambassador Tom Randall to our production plant. We really enjoyed the tour and the presentation of production, because Tom has plenty to say about both product development and current technologies. Afterwards we spent two great days in our crack-climbing paradise at Adršpach, where we gave the ropes a proper workout.
