Static 10.5 SECURE rope
Description
TENDON Static 10.5 Secure is a static rope for use anywhere the sheath and core are at risk of damage. Using this rope significantly increases your safety in situations where the rope can be mechanically damaged by sharp edges or falling objects.
What you'll love
Sandwich construction: Thanks to a unique sandwich construction of braided layers and the use of specially developed staple fibres, the rope can hold a suspended person or load even when the sheath and core are badly damaged, without the rope breaking completely.
Time to get down safely: Even when the rope is badly destroyed, a suspended person has time to get down to the ground or to a safe height, or to secure themselves at a safe point away from the damaged rope.
Protected construction: The rope's construction is protected by a utility model.
Tracer tape: A tracer tape runs inside the rope along its whole length and carries the manufacturer's mark, the rope type, the standard number, the year of manufacture and the material the rope is made from.
Use
Arboriculture: Thanks to its properties, the rope also works well as a climbing line for arborists.
Type A rope: A type A rope has the required minimum strength of 22 kN and is designed for activities at height and above a drop, for example rescue, caving and similar activities.
Storage and inspection
Lifespan: The maximum storage time for an unused rope is up to 5 years, plus a service life of up to 10 years. The actual service life depends on how often and how intensively you use it. External influences and mechanical loading gradually reduce both the static and the dynamic performance of a static rope.
Inspection: The rope must be inspected at least once a year by the manufacturer or by a person authorised by the manufacturer, and the inspection must be recorded on its record card. Check the rope before every use and, if you have any doubts about its safety, take it out of service immediately.
